Mission Statement

The Empowered Lounge Foundation is dedicated to giving at-risk adolescents the tools they need to become leaders by providing life-changing experiences.

Our mission is to empower youth through transformative experiences, cultivating and enhancing their leadership skills. We envision a future where every young individual, regardless of their background, has access to life-changing opportunities that foster personal growth and academic success.

Our goal is to give young people the resources they need to overcome obstacles to education and emerge as community leaders. We provide a distinctive method of instruction that emphasizes fostering young people's autonomy while providing supervision, offering them the chance to develop leadership and decision-making abilities.

Philosophy

With an abundance of experience, our leadership has developed a philosophy that has proven successful throughout the years. Through a unique engagement approach that makes students feel respected, appreciated and capable, we create an collaborative experience for every student.

Our approach is to provide academic enrichment opportunities during non-school hours for children to youth who attend high-poverty and low-performing schools.

We strive to help youth accomplish challenges and exceed their goals in a caring and supportive environment. One of the most important ways that we enrich our educational experience is by staying involved with our Norfolk district public school partners and community.
